Bill Hudson was born in Vancouver June 27, 1932. He received formal education at Trapp Technical School, New Westminster, B.C. Upon graduation he came to Calgary in 1952, working for a short time for the CPR before going to Trans Alta Utilities which was then Calgary Power. Bill located to Seebe, AB, working in the hydro plants in the Bow, Spray and Kananaskis valleys. Bill also spent four years in the Brazeau River Power Development from 1964 – 1968. Bill was plant superintendent at Ghost from 1982/ 84, Spray and Cascade plants from July 1984/92. He retired after forty years of service in 1992.
Bill married in 1958 to Joyce Farwell of Ives Hill, Quebec. Joyce had come to Calgary to work for the Oil and Gas Conservation Board. The Hudson family consists of two boys, Glen and Scott. The boys attended the last one room school in Alberta, at Seebe, and high school in Banff and Canmore, while enjoying the many opportunities that the Rocky Mountains had to offer, such as skiing, hiking, fishing, climbing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Glen has three children, and Scott has one. Both Glen and Scott are living and working in the Salmon Arm and Kamloops areas.
Bill and Joyce retired to a home they built on beautiful Mara Lake in Sicamous, B.C.
