I received my schooling in Canmore. I played hockey and coached the No-Hit Team, and was active in curling, golf and cross-country skiing. I was an associate member in the Legion for twenty five Years.
I married Shirley Short on February 23, 1957, and had two daughters, Jackie and Joanne. I now have six grandchildren – three girls and three boys. I worked as a janitor at the school and then moved up to head supervisor after Andy Chakowski retired. I then retired in 1995.
