In her teens, Annie was an avid speed skater. In 1934, she won the Alberta Junior Speed Skating championship (16 and under). Annie was also a curler, receiving a Life Membership in the club. She loved to make Finn mats with Lily Scott, Mamie Piper, Annie Kazimer, Millie Jerwa, Irene Ivan and Opal Hubman. She was very active with her grandchildren.
